Day 2 - Yosemite National Park

Another North American Road Trip Day 2: Saturday, June 20th We got up early in order to get on the road and make it through Sacramento before it got traffic-y.   We drove quite a bit.  Then waited in line and gassed up at Costco.  And had some lunch at Church’s for some good fried chicken tenders.  We were looking for a Chic-fillet, but didn’t find one.   After that, we decided it was time to get a treat.  So we stopped by The Grove Mercantile to get some ice cream. Bryan got himself an ice cream sandwich (a scoop of ice cream held together between two big cookies) made there in front of him, and Desmond and I both found flavors of ice cream to enjoy.  Mine was peach, and made with a coconut milk base.  Delicious! We made it to the visitor’s center and got some great recommendations from a very laid back park ranger (Desmond said he was”chill” with “yoga vibes”) about what to do and see while we were in the park. Another North American Road Trip - Day 1 - Oregon Caves

                                                            Another North American Road Trip Day 1: Friday, June 19th We set off early from home in Vancouver, Washington with the hopes of getting through Portland before rush hour traffic.  Almost immediately we crossed the bridge into Oregon, and we were two states into Another North American Road Trip.  We drove about five hours (with a rest/stretch stop or two) to Oregon Caves, where we ate cold, homemade pizza for lunch.  We didn’t realize you should register for a tour prior to arriving. So we walked up to the park ranger at the visitor center desk and asked if we could get added to the schedule.
